Tutorial Services
Drop-In Centers
Tutorial Services offers two Math Drop-in Centers, one Chemistry Drop-In, and one Physics Drop-in. A drop-in center is a place where students are able to come and do their homework in a relaxed group environment. When the student has a question he/she raises a hand, and the tutor comes and assists.
A drop-in tutor has a high level of autonomy and works with many different levels of classes and students in any given day.
Supplemental Instruction
Supplemental Instruction (SI) is a peer facilitated program targeting historically difficult core courses at Boise State. The tutor attends class on a day-to-day basis and organizes regularly scheduled study group sessions outside of the classroom.
An SI tutor works closely with faculty and forms a team with each instructor to support student learning in the classroom. If you would like to request an SI for your core course, please click here.
